Position statement and philosophy

Our philosophy is very simple, we want to ensure all of our customers receive genuine care and support to meet physical, practical and emotional needs. We treat people with dignity and respect promoting independence and individuality. We want to make a difference!

By law, all agencies in England that provide personal care to people in their own homes are responsible for making sure that the care they provide meets national standards of quality and safety.

In order for us to ensure we are meeting and exceeding standards we need to ensure we monitor our services closely, provide evidence and address any issues that may arise as a result.

The new Care Act 2014 together with a range of regulations and guidance, is the base upon which social care will develop over the next few decades.

The main principle of the act is ‘Wellbeing’ and is the responsibility of all involved in care provision and particularly the local authority who have a duty to ensure it underpins their care and support functions.

Spiritual Inspiration embrace the direction of the care act and aim to meet and exceed all aspects of customer wellbeing. With an emphasis on enablement and prevention we want to promote independence and recovery, and reduce loneliness and isolation. We recruit our staff based on their personal philosophy around caring for people and their drive to make a difference in people’s lives.

In the future, we may provide services on a private basis, direct payments and / or via outcome based commissioning which gives greater flexibility to meet individual needs and wellbeing. This includes:

• Physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
• Protection from abuse and neglect
• Control by the individual over everyday life
• Social and economic wellbeing
• Participation in work training and recreation.
